NEW YORK - July 20 – Trustpilot – a leading global review platform - today announced it has launched in the Shopify App Store. Over 1.7M Shopify merchants can now easily integrate Trustpilot’s review tools for free to drive conversion, increase customer retention, and grow a trusted brand.
This move follows Trustpilot’s recent IPO on the London Stock Exchange and comes as part of Trustpilot’s aim to work with the world’s largest eCommerce partners to integrate reviews so that businesses can benefit. Trustpilot’s reviews give consumers the ability to shop with trust and confidence, and deliver rich insights to help businesses improve the experiences they offer.
Over 120 million consumer reviews of businesses and products relating to over 530,000 domains have been posted on Trustpilot and those numbers are growing by more than one review per second. Trustpilot reviews bring businesses closer to consumers and help them earn trust with the click of a button.
“The pandemic has accelerated online businesses as consumers continue to stay at home and more businesses create an online presence through ecommerce platforms,” said Steve Garland, Chief Technology & Product Officer of Trustpilot. “We all know how critical yet increasingly difficult it is for brands to build trust with consumers. Making Trustpilot available directly within the Shopify App Store empowers merchants to tap into Trustpilot’s automated review invitation while also being able to showcase their own reviews without having to leave the Shopify platform.”
Businesses who proactively collect and respond to their reviews from all their customers see deeper engagement and reviews remain a useful way to understand exactly what their customers think about the services and products they offer — helping them improve along the way.
Carolina Aguerrevere and Pablo Martínez, founders of Hot Chocolate Design, an eCommerce store built on Shopify said, "We needed an easy way to ask customers to leave reviews at the right time and to display those on site, and that's exactly what the integration does. Since we've started using Trustpilot, our number of reviews has increased, which makes it easy to prove to new visitors that they can trust our brand."
89% of consumers say they check online reviews before making purchases.* With the new Trustpilot app, Shopify merchants can easily collect reviews and use the responses to earn and showcase trust in their business.
