Mazuma Mobile proves customer service credentials with 100,000 Trustpilot reviews

London, 18th May 2015: Online reviews platform, Trustpilot, today announces that Mazuma Mobile has become one of the first ever businesses to receive 100,000 customer reviews on the site. The UK’s leading mobile phone recycling company has an overall TrustScore of 9.8 out of 10, positioning the business at the top of the phone and internet services category and demonstrating its strong credentials in positive customer service.

Mazuma Mobile, which was founded in Hertforshire in 2007, enables consumers to convert unwanted phones into cash by sending them via post for recycling. The company now rehouses 150,000 phones on average per month and is one of the leading mobile phone recycling specialists in Europe. Mazuma Mobile has been working with Trustpilot since 2010, after looking for a third party platform to display and measure its customer service credentials. The company was impressed with Trustpilot’s ability to link reviews to individual transactions and the credibility that the third-party platform provides them.

Charlo Carabott, managing director and co-founder of Mazuma has commented, “For Mazuma Mobile, trust and transparency are the bricks and mortar of our business. As we provide our services purely online, an honest and credible review platform such as Trustpilot makes a real difference. Showing a potential customer how many other people have benefitted from the service is a real advantage that has set us apart from the competition.”

In addition, Mazuma has also seen benefits from negative reviews by using them to identify areas of the business in need of improvement, and factoring them into long term planning.  The customer care team aims to respond to negative reviews publicly via Trustpilot within 24 hours, proving to customers that the company listens and acts upon complaints.

He continued, “Negative reviews are in some respect the most useful because they continue to challenge our methods and teach us more about what our customers want. Our customers are often surprised to receive a quick and personalised reaction to their negative comments, which turns the occasional bad experience into a positive one. By using Trustpilot, which displays all reviews regardless of their sentiment, customers can have the confidence that the feedback is genuine and comes from a credible source.”

To build up its 100,000 reviews Mazuma Mobile has used Trustpilot’s Automatic Feedback Service, which automatically sends email invitations to customers after each purchase to encourage reviews to be written. Mazuma mobile also uses Trustpilot’s Google Seller Ratings service, which feeds the business’s TrustScore into Google’s ratings, and the Category Badge Widget which displays Mazuma’s ranking within its category.

Mikkel Drucker, VP of marketing at Trustpilot has commented, “For Mazuma Mobile, breaking the 100,000 review milestone is an exceptional achievement, and its TrustScore of 9.8 out of 10 is testament to the outstanding customer service it provides. As our research has shown, 77 per cent of consumers now consult online reviews before making a purchase online, so it is more important than ever for business to start including them in their customer service strategy. Mazuma is a shining example of the benefits that online reviews can bring.”
