Easier access to capital is a key part of the government’s plan to create more startup successes in Denmark. It wants Denmark to join the ranks of the U.S. and become a genuine startup hub.
It was the headquarters of the Danish company, Trustpilot, that Wednesday hosted the government’s presentation of their new growth initiatives. The Danish IT-startup is a prototype of the kind of success that the Minister of Business, Brian Mikkelsen (K), hopes the new initiatives will bring more of. Trustpilot, a platform for online reviews, has more than 500 employees and has achieved Series D funding of DKK 500 million - a rarity in the Danish business world.
